MY OWN ART - NEW HOME CARD

I was asked to make a New Home card, knew exactly the look I wanted to go for; something fresh and clean, just like a new home.

All the stamps I had were too small, so decided to design my own images. I was particularly pleased with the results and the card has been received well, even had requests for the JPEGs.

Hope this makes you smile.xx

A CHRISTMAS TRIO

Have been crafting up a storm with Christmas cards, but I wanted to share three of my favourites.

This is my first ever card using a Tilda image.  I wanted to keep her traditional.  I am now officially a Tildaholic.

This lovely Molly Bloom image is so vertsatile, but I felt for my first card with her I wanted a more contemporary colour scheme.

This image is A Sweetpea stamp called Love is gone, but wanted to do something different with this one so went for traditional Chritmas colours and feel that he works really well.

So back to it, more stamps lined up and waiting to be used.  I feel more Chrismas coming.!!

PRETTY IN PINK BIRTHDAY PRINCESS

Todays little creation is an 8 x 8 card ideal for a little girls birthday.
A mixture of printed papers, die cut florishes and prepared flowers.
Dies used are Tim Holtz and Spellbinders and the circles are cut from my Memories shape cutters, which I have dug out of retirement.
The embossing folder for the large dot background is one that I made myself and the papers are Papermania which were given to me

Hope this brings a smile to your face.x

HAVE A STELLA CHRISTMAS

I was absolutely inspired by Tina Keller this week with her recycling of materials, so decided to rescue the main labels from a couple of bottles of beer that I was soaking to get ready for painting and making into candle holders (coming soon!!).  I made two identical cards using up scraps of paper that I had from my scrap basket, thought these would make great Christmas cards for men that drink this specific brand.

So remember don't throw anything away! You never know where you can use it.x

Wish Big

Haven't blogged for a couple of days, have been doing a little planning for what I hope will be my first craft fair outside of a school.

This little number I coloured whilst watching my husband play darts.  I only went along as the taxi, so had to take something for me to do, so went along armed with promarkers and stamped images. Had a little audience and people were fascinated to see a grown woman "colouring in" until they realised, these weren't normal pens.

I finally found the time this morning to make up the rest of the card for this lovely little image. A little inspired after watching Mel on C & C this morning.

Happy crafting

MY NEW BABY

Just had to share my new toy. Haven't had a chance to really play with it yet but have a few ideas in mind and of course I am sure I will be sharing them here.

Happy Crafting!!

SWEATPEA IN PASTEL

Have been a bit busy of the last couple of days, so have only managed the one card.  I worked again with Poppy Love, but this time using a pastel pallet. I was really pleased with the result and think she looks quite elegant.

Hope you feel inspired.

MY SWEETPEA FIESTA

Always on the lookout for that certain something to work with I have discovered this stunning range of Sweetpea stamps and I am now hooked. I previously used for a plain and simple card, the following two are an infuson of colour and more to my usual style.

This stamp is called Poppy Love, backing sheet is a Honey and Hugs paper
A little old lace and braid, premade flowers and handcrafted flowers (Tim Holtz - Tattered Florals)using up scraps, florishes (Sizzix), buttons and brads make up the embellishment.

Yet to get a name for this stamp, as purchased second hand with no detail.  The original theme is would say was for easter, but have managed to hide the easter eggs under the floral embellishment. There was no preprinted paper used in this card, all papers were made using embossing, cutting and inking. The florish is from Tim Holtz.

TRYING SOMETHING DIFFERENT

I have been working with some different stamps and trying something different for me from my eclectic style.  These two are plain and simple, but much work work into the colouring of the images.

Hope you like.  Your feedback would be great.x
